What is the best way to record the sound healing instruments? What about Equipment?

Microphones:  Roland R-26 portable mic.  Zoom mics are also good and cheaper, but the Roland does have superior quality.   Yeti USB mic also works well.  As far as "how to do it" it seems that it's a bit of trial and error to get the distance from the bowls to the mic, and also you may need to play around with the volume a bit.

For editing - Audacity is a free program, and there is also Amadeus Pro.
